HOT HALLOWEEN!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here's what I've been doing while avoiding the heat.....hiding in the Air Conditioning and being creative. No secret I'm not a big fan of summer except for the fresh produce. I just loaded photos of my new Halloween items, the link is to the right.

Hope you are all staying cool and are enjoying your summer!

Fleece and Fiber Fair

Another show coming up....dye pots are on....sewing machine humming,,,never enough time. Gloomy day today which is a good thing, the temptation to wander outside is squelched by the drizzle. Hopefully we'll have a few downpours, it's dry and the pollen needs to be washed away.

Looking out my back door...day 2

I can get out the door now. The driveway is clear and the car is cleaned off, but the roads still aren't plowed so we can't go anywhere even if we wanted to. I'm putting some wool in to soak and will get the dye pots going.

Doo, Doo Doo...looking out my back door

They're working their way in....my friends and neighbors.(We got 32 inches here in Branford and I can't open my doors to get out.) I'm about to make them chocolate chip cookie bars and a pot of coffee. The plows haven't been here since last evening. They probably won't be here until tomorrow. Fortunately we never lost power.
Hope you are warm and cozy and if you are out there shoveling...take it slow!!

BRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.....

It was just too cold here last week. I needed to get some groceries in the house, but just couldn't bring myself to open the doors. So on Friday I finally decided I had enough to get me through the weekend, except, bread.....I need my bread. Not being a bread baker I didn't have the makings in the cupboard, but I did have the ingredients for the beautiful loaf in the photo. I made Ina Garten's Irish Soda Bread in the mixer. I'm embarrassed to tell you there is less than a quarter loaf left and it's only Monday. I think I do have some extra padding around the middle to keep me warm after eating so much of it.

I hope you are staying warm!!!!
